Diet
This past week, I converged to eating 1 big meal a day and supplementing with protein shake and some fruits. Easily reached my macro goals, stayed at 1000kcal deficit. 2 meals were social and had seed oil but apart from that I stayed under 5g Linoleic Acid (LA) everyday.
Just eating 1 big cooked meal has freed up a lot of mental space. I have allowed myself to eat out 2x a week (will eat LA-free things when possible like salads). But no sweat even if I eat something cooked in seed oil.
PS: I have been taking Nuun electrolytes to offset depletion due to a big deficit and I think I might be addicted to the taste.
Creating
I wanted to solve a problem uniquely for me. Since I keep changing sizes, I have to retry clothes in-person at stores and remember which brand fit me well or which ones I can buy after losing some more inches. Hence SizeLogger.

Uniqlo T-shirt feels too tight around waist → Log fit and remember to try back after significant change in measurement. App currently alerts with 2-4% change in body measurement depending on what is changing (hips, waist, shoulders, chest, etc)
While the app is live on a Vercel domain, I want to polish it a bit more, slap an easy domain on top and get it in v2 by end of this week.
I wanted to record a video introducing the app and how to use it and also implement prediction alerts properly but somehow didn’t manage to finish them. So, will work on them.
Thoughts
I went up from initial plan of daily 500kcal deficit to 1000kcal simply because I have too much fat to lose. I am anyway strength training 4x a week and consuming 130-150g protein everyday so muscle loss should be minimal.
Home cooking and eating that cooked meal has suddenly become more accessible when I know I have to cook only 5 meals a week, and eat out 2x a week.
No dessert cravings yet cause the I ate a variety of fresh fruits.
Not sure if the current rate of weight loss will continue but I will wait until June 30 to reflect and change plan.
I am not sure what happens when SizeLogger v2 goes live. What’s next? Mobile app? Another app? Will I use it myself properly?
